How to accomplish a goal

Set a realistic but challenging/inspiring goal. Take a big dream, like "I want to be famous", and break it down into smaller, more manageable steps, like "I want to star in a science fiction movie", "I want to go to three auditions a week", "I want to move to another city" and "I want to save $5000 so I can move." Make the goal big enough to challenge and excite you, but not so big that you hesitate to take the first steps. Plan ahead. Once you've broken down your goal into pieces, write down the steps on a piece of paper to make sure you have everything thought out. One of the worst things that can happen is you're almost to the point of your goal, but you're not sure what to do next. Also, give yourself deadlines for each step. Otherwise, you'll end up procrastinating and never achieving your dream. Brainstorm ideas. Are there different ways to reach your goal? Write everything down that you can think of in three m

Principles....for lifetime

(1) Never think or speak negatively about yourself; that puts you in disagreement with God. (2) Meditate on your God-given strengths and learn to encourage yourself, for much of the time nobody else will. (3) Don't compare yourself to anybody else. You're unique, one of a kind, an original. So don't settle for being a copy. (4) Focus on your potential, not your limitations. Remember, God lives in you! (5) Find what you like to do, do well, and strive to do it with excellence. (6) Have the courage to be different. Be a God pleaser, not a people pleaser. (7) Learn to handle criticism. Let it develop you instead of discourage you. (8) Determine your own worth instead of letting others do it for you. They'll short-change you! (9) Keep your shortcomings in perspective - you're still a work in progress.... (10) Focus daily on your greatest source of confidence - the God Who lives in you

Secret of Success: Get the mind-set of an Ant

All of us tend to look up to big people for lessons on how to get better. We are keen to learn the secrets of their success. But we forget that sometimes the biggest lessons in life come from the smallest folks around us. Now that's a good lesson to remember! Take ants for instance. Would you believe those small creatures can teach us how to live a better life? Jim Rohn - the great motivational guru - developed what he called the 'Ants Philosophy'. He identified four key lessons from the behavior of ants that can help us lead better lives. Jim Rohn is no more - but his messages continue to inspire. Here then, are the four lessons from Rohn's 'Ants Philosophy'. 1. Ants never quit .  Have you noticed how ants always look for a way around an obstacle? Put your finger in an ant's path and it will try and go around it, or over it. It will keep looking for a way out. It won't just stand there and stare. It won't give up and go back. We should all le
